![]() ![]() Calculating climate impact is a two-stage process
Our processesOur method for calculating emissions and hence climate impact is based on:
These are described in detail under Calculation of emissions and Calculation of climate impact . We do not anticipate NTM’s model being changed, but if we notice issues that need to be discussed, we will contact NTM and discuss how the model can be updated. Our parameters, on the other hand, are continually changing. New aircraft models are taken into operation, airline companies change their fleet, science is changing its opinion on how emissions at high altitudes should be calculated, etc. All parameters are reviewed annually, during the period September–November, based on available information. We have selected this period because much of our information is based on the airline companies’ annual reports, which are published during the first half of the year. We take these updates seriously, and our Managing Director is responsible for ensuring they are implemented. We present in detail each parameter that we are updating, as well as when it was last updated. |
